On November 3, Americans go to the polls for the midterm elections at a time when political and social divides seem wider than they have been in generations. What will the outcome mean for Trump’s final two years as president—for Americans and for the rest of the world?
Historian and U.S. expert Niels Bjerre-Poulsen offers an overview of key features of American political history and their significance for the political landscape Americans live in today.
The lecture will last about an hour, followed by questions and discussion.
No sign-up required—guests from outside the department are welcome too.
