American Studies in Scandinavia

American Studies in Scandinavia, the journal of the Nordic Association for American Studies, is published twice each year, and carries scholarly articles and reviews on a wide range of American Studies topics and disciplines, including history, literature, politics, geography, media, language, diplomacy, race, ethnicity, economics, law, culture and society.

Sponsored by the National Councils for Research in Science and the Humanities in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden, the journal is published by the University Press of Southern Denmark with the financial support of the Nordic Publications Committee for Humanist Periodicals. American Studies in Scandinavia is currently edited by Ari Helo at the University of Oulu, Finland, with co-editors Pirjo Ahokas (book reviews editor) of the University of Turku, Finland, and Mervi Miettinen, of the University of Tampere, Finland.

Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions to the journal in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland cost DKR 200, including postage and sales tax. For subscribers outside Scandinavia, the annual rate is DKR 250 or US$ 50. Subscriptions may be placed online. Submission of Manuscripts and Reviews

The journal's editors welcome manuscripts on subjects in American Studies of a single or an interdisciplinary nature. They also welcome book reviews within the field. Further details may be found on the relevant pages of the Nordic Association for American Studies website.
